Spud Harvest 2008
It is now spud harvest in Rexburg or as Liv calls it Grandpa is harving the potatoes. The kids are out of school till the 16th. Today we went up to my parents farm to show the kids how potatoes are grown and harvested.

I miss spud harvest! Adam still talks about the potatoes your parents served us at Alex's blessing. He says he hasn't had a good potato in 10 years.
I totally forgot about spud harvest! That was the best (the getting out of school part, not the rotten-potato sorting)!
FUN! My kids just think we are on some extended summer vacation. They don't really understand why school is out so that is great you can show your kids the reason behind the break. We have been out since Sept. 29 and we go back on the 14. What a very long break we have had. Oh well. It is all good I guess. Hope you are having a nice time with the kids....
I remember working one day for Mandy on the potato digger--that is a very, very hard job.
Your kids always look so cute, even at the farm. I am sure your Dad likes to have them come and see what he does for a living.
I have lived in Rexburg for over ten years and I don't know that I have ever really watched the HARVEST of the potatoes. I love all of the pictures of "harving" the potatoes. That is so cute! What fun memories for your kids!
